A Credentialed Mental Health Nurse (CMHN) is a specialist nurse who has demonstrated meeting the credentialing criteria in relation to registration, education, practice experience, professional development, and professional integrity.
Child Centered Play Therapy is a specialised form of psychotherapy for children aged 2-12yrs, Just as adults go to talk based therapy for support during difficult times, children are offered the same, in a way that makes sense to them.
A wide variety of materials are made available to the child to facilitate exploration, creative and emotional expression and symbolism. Children can choose to play in most ways they would like and voice their story through their actions.
Play Therapy has many benefits allowing children to gain understanding to their world and to express their emotions. This process often significantly improves behaviours that parents, caregivers and teachers find challenging
Child Psychotherapy can help with a range of social, emotional and behavioural concerns. Suitable for children aged 2 -12 years who may have experienced grief, trauma, social problems, fears and phobias, anger issues, sadness, illness, or illness of a loved one, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, Autism and more
Sessions generally run for 45 to 60 minutes, with the number of sessions tailored to individual needs and circumstances
Brief Response: Approximately 6 sessions, excluding any parent or caregiver sessions.
Child-Centred Play Therapy: Typically 20–30 weeks, depending on the needs of the child and family.
Group Therapy: - By the Term
Pregnancy Support Counselling: 3 sessions

While your child will have one-on-one sessions, we also schedule regular parent meetings to discuss progress, address any concerns, and explore ways you can support your child at home.
We work towards joint sessions where you and your child work together in therapy. Your insights and involvement help build co-regulation and create a strong sense of safety and connection.
All the materials needed for therapy, such as toys, art supplies, and games are provided. However, if your child has a favourite toy or item that brings them comfort, they are welcome to bring it along.
Supporting your child and their emotional development means trusting the existing strengths of your family. We spend time together understanding your family values. This is a foundational step and guides how we work together.
