Art Supplies Setup

Small therapeutic groups that use creative expression and shared activities to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, and connection.


These groups are facilitated by a mental health nurse and are designed to provide a safe, supportive space where young people can explore feelings, build skills, and connect with others through creativity and play‑based activities.


Groups support 

  • Expression of emotions through creative activities

  • Building social confidence and peer connection

  • Develop emotional awareness and regulation

  • Strengthening self‑esteem and sense of achievement

  • Experience belonging in a calm, supportive environment

Art Corner sessions integrate

Expressive activities, play‑based processes, and developmentally appropriate mental health nursing support.


Creative activities are used as a way to:

  • Support communication and emotional expression

  • Build regulation skills

  • Foster connection and engagement

  • Groups are intentionally kept small to support emotional safety, individual attention, and meaningful participation.
     

Sessions

  • Sessions are 45 minutes, offered weekly

  • Each program runs during school terms

  • $25 per week

  • All materials provided 

For ages 9 years to 13 years

Funding options

  • Private payment

  • NDIS funding (Plan‑ and Self‑Managed participants), where group participation aligns with NDIS goals and reasonable‑and‑necessary criteria
