Circle of Security Program
Parent Reflection Model
-
8-week course facilitated by a credentialed mental health nurse
-
If requested in a group setting, a second mental health nurse is available to assist.
-
With caregivers / parents we reflect together what is hidden in plain sight
-
We support:
-
What they see / notice
-
We intentionally continue to notice, then reflect on how our children explore their environments and then we reflect on their needs together.
-
We celebrate what happens naturally and enjoy the strengths of the family and child parent relationship.
-
We also provide a safe space to allow any struggles to surface. We 'be with you', while you as the caregiver work things through.
-
We delight in how confidence grows for the parents and caregivers we support.
-
We aim as mental health nurses to remain curious and for the caregivers / parents to be encouraged to explore and find their answers and insights to their child's needs.
